Actiontec IS560LH: an ISA voice/fax modem

The label on the back of this Actiontec modem reads Model: IS560LH, with FCC ID LNQ750824. Its original Collier article was titled “Actiontec PCI Modem,” but the photographs show a 16-bit ISA edge connector.

Correcting the interface

The recovered Actiontec V.90 Internal Voice/Fax Windows Modem manual instructs the reader to use a 16-bit ISA expansion slot on page 9. That agrees with the photographed connector and explains why the old article mentioned an ISA Plug-and-Play enabler while incorrectly calling the card PCI.

This is an ISA-era component. It belongs in a machine with the appropriate slot and resources; the model name does not make it a PCI or PCI Express card.

What the archive preserves

The three original photographs show the component side, the reverse side, and the identifying label. The component-side image also preserves the Actiontec board markings and its phone connections.

A manual and an archive named EX560LKU_INF.zip were linked from the old post. The latter names a different model, so it is not offered here as a confirmed IS560LH driver. The original files have been retained, but the previous mixed download list is not being repeated as installation advice.

No fresh modem, telephone-line, or operating-system test was performed for this consolidation. The reliable findings here are the photographed identity, ISA interface, and the matching slot instruction in the recovered manual.
